Québec and California will hold an eighth joint cap-and-trade
emissions units auction on August 16, 2016

Québec, June 17, 2016 – The Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MDDELCC), and the California Air Ressources Board (ARB), announced today that an eighth joint carbon market auction will be held on August 16, 2016.

The publication of the Auction Notice, which includes the number of emissions units for sale, minimum prices, and application requirements, marks the beginning of the application period. The application period closes on July 18, 2016.
